Inflation 101 Inflation: If you’ve ever noticed that prices sometimes seem to increase on certain items, you have likely encountered it.  Some items, such as computers and televisions, have tended to reduce in price. But other needs, such as rent and tuition, appear to reliably increase every year.   There are several factors that affect the price of goods, including inflation.  And, there are two main categories noted as being the causes of it:  Demand-Pull and Cost-Push effects.
